Progressive Circus proudly present the world’s leading and most ambitious Genesis tribute band, coming all the way from Canada to Lorensbergsteatern in April:

THE MUSICAL BOX                
 
In the spring of 2025 The Musical Box comes to Europe with a Genesis Live ’72/’73 show. The band plays almost 2 hours of magic from Genesis‘ early years, focusing on the iconic albums Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot, but also plays rarities and surprises inspired by newly surfaced video material from the era, making an even more accurate recreation of the ’72/’73 tour possible. The concert is based on the legendary „Bataclan“ video who has been restored with better details during the last years.
 
The Musical Box was founded in 1993, took their name from the opening track from Genesis‘ Nursery Cryme, and has toured relentlessly since then, with incredibly thorough recreations of Genesis tours from the Peter Gabriel era 1971-1975 and a few Phil Collins era tours from the 70s. Genesis‘ members haven’t only seen the band perform their material, but Steve Hackett has also joined them for some songs on stage, and Collins said that „I think these guys play it better than we did“, while Gabriel points out that ”The recreation is faithfully accurate”.
