Pain of Salvation & Vulkan (2025)

Progressive Circus and Chez nous prod are extremely happy to present our first collaboration:
PAIN OF SALVATION + VULKAN

April 23 – Kulturhuset Studion, Stockholm
April 24 – Pustervik, Göteborg

We are sure that many of you agree that these two bands are among the best there are. Since Daniel Gildenlöw formed what was to become Pain of Salvation at age 11, over 40 years ago, a lot has happened. Totally magnificent and beautiful studio masterpieces like ”The Perfect Element – Part 1” (2000), ”Remedy Lane” (2002), ”BE” (2004), ”In the Passing Light of Day” (2017) are considered some of the best progressive metal ever made, due to the super skilled musicians and brilliant song writing, combining painfully emotional melodies, highly complex song structures and rhythms, and gutfelt powerful metal mania.

Never boring, the band released „Panther“ in 2020, experimenting more than usual with sounds, moods and rhythms and the trademark PoS brilliance, leading to a great collection of new favourites that we will hear in April at Kulturhuset Studion and Pustervik. Although the standards in the studio have always been kept high, the live PoS experience is equally stunning, when the energy and rawness of metal riffs meet the powerful choruses and touching melodies.

An obvious choice for support band is VULKAN, who not only were the reason that the first Progressive Circus festival was formed in 2014, but also have released three mindblowingly strong albums. „Technatura“ from 2020 is the album that really elevated the Swedish quintet to an international and well deserved breakthrough, with their Mars Volta, Tool and vintage influenced prog metal, always delivered with strong and emotional vocals.
